Our friction primers are carefully manufactered using original formulas from the 1863 Ordnance manual. Primers are guaranteed against misfires. If you ever have one fail send it back for a free replacement.

Pictured above, CCI reenactor musket caps are a lower priced alternative to RWS caps. They are made of copper like the orginals used during the Civil War. They're not quite as hot as RWS. They remind me a lot of the old Navy Arms caps. $10.00/can of 100.

     CCI caps are also available in #10 and #11 sizes for $7.00/100 count can.

Vent Pick

A vent pick is a long brass wire with a handle that is used to puncture the powder bag (foil) and expose the charge to the primer flame.

Made the same way as the pick but with a wire brush threaded into the end to keep your vent clean and avoid stuck primers.

A steel device that resembles a small stop sign with a hole in the middle. Used to push debris out of your vent and scrape out heavy powder fowling.

Primer Extractor

Small screw like device with a handle used to pull stuck primers from your vent. I love these they save you a lot of trouble if a primer sticks.
